Stressing the fact that terror can strike at any time, anywhere, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan recalled in a speech in New Zealand, where is he visiting as a part of a ten day tour which will also include a stop in Australia, how terror had changed the US post September 11. "The US, when you take a breath these days, now wonders which terrorist is taking a breath," said PM Erdogan, who called on New Zealand's Prime Minister Helen Clark to recognize the fact that "a cooperative struggle against terrorism is a must."

Speaking at a joint press conference with PM Clark, PM Erdogan also said "There is no terror today in New Zealand. But no one can guarantee such a fact for tomorrow......30 years ago, we also never had to worry about such a thing. But it became a reality for us later."

Going on, PM Erdogan said "In the country of freedom, the US, there was never a worry about terrorr. But then came along September 11. Since then, time is marked by the pre-September 11 America and the post-September 11 America. Suddenly it seems that every time you breath, the Americans wonder which terrorist it is that has just breathed."
