In April, the terror organization PKK had announced it would halt armed attacks until June 1. But dozens of Turkish security forces have been killed in attacks carried out by PKK terrorists within this period.  Â
The statement came as Turkish officials signaled that work was under way to end the PKK’s terror activities and solve the decades-long Kurdish issue in a democratic and peaceful way.
