Peshmerges and U.S. troops entered Kirkuk and seized control. Kurds entering the city with the U.S. support did not confront any resistance. The news, first aired by BBC's internet said that American war planes provided support to Kurds while entering the city. AP reported that "Kurds entered strategic oil city Kirkuk" saying that Kurds pushed towards the industrial zone of the city where gun fire was heard. An American official told AP that the American special operation forces tried to have an American presence into the city for the sate of "Regional stability."   Looting started in the city deserted already by Iraqi soldiers.   The Cemcemal commander of KDP, Mam Rustem had said that they will enter Kirkuk easily.  Turkey and U.S. had a crisis as Turkey anonunced she will enter Northern Iraq, once Kurds enter Mosul and Kirkuk. However the two countries later on agreed that Kurds could enter these, with U.S. soldiers. Hundreds of U.S. troops are accompanying Kurds.Defense  Minister Vecdi Gonul said that they believed U.S. will keep its promise. Â
