Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan inaugurated the museum established in the Sirp Pirgic Armenian hospital. He said that “By virtue of this Museum, none of the yes will look at the history cock-eyed. BY listening to the voice coming from my inside I am saying that; Long Live our togetherness!”The 600-bed Armenian Hospital was built in 1832 on a decree of Soltan Mahmod 2nd and is serving everyone since then without any interruption. Numerous foreign press members were present to cover the inauguration.Communication between the Armenian society and the Ottoman administration, documents about the hospital and medical tools are on the display in the Museum. Prime Minister Erdogan and the Armenian Patriarch Mutafyan were present in the ceremony. In his address, Erdogan said that this inauguration was very meaningful and exciting and “This will be a museum that will shed light for today and tomorrow to the next generation. Those seeing the works here will not look cock-eyed to the history any more. Therefore in my heart, I name this, the Museum of Humanity.”
