Orhan Pamuk receives his Nobel at Stockholm ceremony

Turkey's first ever Nobel award winning author, Orhan Pamuk, received his medal, a special diploma, and prize money worth 1.07 million Euro, yesterday evening in the Swedish capital Stockholm.

At the ceremony, held in Stockholm's Concert Center, Swedish King Carl Gustav XVI presented Pamuk, as well as Nobel winners John C. Mather, George F. Smoot, Roger D. Kornberg, Andrew Fire, Craig Mello, and Edmund Phelps, their awards.
