A soldier was kidnapped in the Tunceli-Pulumur region in the early evening on Monday, while he was traveling on a bus back to his home-town. A group of five armed terrorists stopped up to 40 cars in a high-way style robbery demanding money from drivers and passengers, before abducting the soldier from the bus at gun point. The incident started at around 6.30 p.m. and went on until the terrorists found the soldier and kidnapped him. "They stopped up to 40 cars and robbed the people of their money," said the Mayor of Tunceli Mustafa Erkal. Following the incident, Mayor Erkal visited Mamiki and spoke with the victims. A driver told the mayor that there had been five terrorists who had stopped them and demanded money by pointing guns in their faces. The soldier, Coskun Kiran, was kidnapped is serving his military service in Adiyaman and was on his way back home to Trabzon. It is not yet clear which group was responsible for the attacks. The military immediately launched an operation in the area.Â
