Teams found the body of Osman Kahya in a house in Karatas village in Serik town of Antalya. Earlier, the remains of a person --believed to belong to missing Ali Deniz-- were found in another house in the same village.

The remains and the body were sent to Istanbul for identification and DNA testing, the state-run Anatolian Agency reported.

Forestry Deputy Director General Mehmet Ali Yilmaz told the agency that the fire was continuing to burn in the Karabucak region and Sagirin village, adding, the weather conditions are expected to help with efforts to extinguish the fire.

"Thousands of people including firefighters, local forestry officials and residents have been involved in tackling the fire all night. They have been backed by six helicopters and aircraft began backing the teams after dawn," Aydogan Turedi, spokesman for the provincial directorate of forestry, earlier told Anatolian Agency.

"The winds are expected to subside by noon, and humidity levels are also forecasted to rise. This will help our efforts to extinguish the fire," Turedi also said.

The fire, which broke out in Serik town of Turkey's tourism heartland on July 31, destroyed at least 60 houses, dozens of farming buildings, a school and a mosque in Manavgat and Serik towns. Six villages were evacuated.

The fire also destroyed livestock in the villages and reduced millions of pine woodland trees to ash.   Â

A total of 200,000 YTL ($173,000) in aid would be sent to the Antalya Governor's office to meet the losses of citizens due to the fire, Turkish Government Spokesman Cemil Cicek told reporters on Monday after the Council of Ministers meeting.

Turkey plans to purchase new equipment, including planes and helicopters, for greater effectiveness in fighting fires, he added.
