ISTANBUL - The second edition of the First-Day Festival, which features four films chosen by the Turkish Cinema Writers Association, or SIYAD, will be held at Istanbul Modern on Feb. 7. The event, titled "Intersexual Journeys," will bring together four films from Turkish cinema.

Director Nejat Saydam’s "Köçek" (Male Dancer), Osman Seden’s "Beddua" (Damn), Orhan Oğuz’s "Dönersen Islık Çal" (Whistle If You Come Back) and Metin Erksan’s "Kadın Hamlet" (Female Hamlet) are the films to be screened during the one-day event.

All films feature stories about sexuality. In "Köçek," actress Müjde Ar plays the role of a man, while Bülent Ersoy in "Beddua" portrays a singer who is not accepted by others because of his sexual preferences.

The films will be shown at 12 p.m., 2 p.m., 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. free for visitors of the museum.
