ISTANBUL - The first of the one-day festival series, during which four films chosen by the Turkish Association of Cinema Writers, or SİYAD, will be screened, will take place Jan.10 at Istanbul Modern.
The first festival will be organized under the title "Men in Turkish Cinema from the 70s to the Present." The one-day festivals will be organized once a month between January and May. The films to be shown in the first festival are Yılmaz Güney and Atıf Yılmaz’s "Zavallılar" (The Poor), Orhan Oğuz’s "İki Başlı Dev" (Two Headed Giant), Serdar Akar’s "Gemide" (On A Ship) and Nuri Bilge Ceylan’s "İklimler" (Climates).
The event is organized in collaboration with Istanbul Modern Museum and screenings times will be 12 p.m., 2 p.m., 4 p.m. and 6 p.m.
