ISTANBUL - NishIstanbul is made up of four 17 story-blocks, two of which house 396 residential units and the other two blocks house 175 commercial units. The residential units come in five different layouts.
"The door to the world" touts the new NishIstanbul development in the Yenibosna neighborhood by the
Atatürk International Airport.
The project, which had its belated groundbreaking ceremony yesterday, is a luxury residence and commercial development of a partnership between Torunlar Real Estate Investment Group and Özyazıcı Construction. The door to their particular world does not seem keep with the new vision of green architecture. The project, which began sales a month ago, has no plans, no vision or even the pretense of a green, environmentally friendly building style. Aziz Torun, the head of the Torunlar Group, who was asked by reporters if the NishIstanbul construction and building designs abided by any ecological building standards, shrugged off the question stating that NishIstanbul had never billed itself as a green project so they saw no reason to go through the process of trying to adhere to international ecological standards. Green standards aside the development is similar to other developments in its category.
NishIstanbul is made up of four 17 story-blocks, two of which house the 396 residential units and the other two blocks house the 175 commercial units. The residential units come in five different layouts. The development offers 128 one bedroom plus one living room units at 82 square meters, 128 one bedroom plus one living room units at 87 square meters, 128 two bedroom plus one living room units at 97 square meters, 8 three bedroom plus one living room units at 186 square meters and 4 three bedroom plus two living room units at 162 square meters. The smallest units in the development are in the price range of 180,000 Turkish liras to 200,000 liras and the largest units available are priced around 650,000 liras.
The commercial blocks offer two types of units, storefront and office space. The project promises to tap into the new business development trend in the neighborhoods surrounding the airport and the rise in commercial interest in the area. And this part of Istanbul is quite possibly the most convenient if the idea is to be close to small industry and fly out from Atatürk Airport at the drop of a hat.
The development offers many amenities within the complex, such as a fitness center, swimming pool, sauna, concierge service, assigned indoor parking, cafes, restaurants and shopping areas.
Torun, who answered questions at a press gathering for the groundbreaking ceremony laid out the five crucial points for what makes a successful development project. First, he said, was location, "or as they say it in English, location three times." And NishIstanbul is highly appealing for the public transportation lines that promise to lighten the commute from its location by the airport to the more vibrant Istanbul city centers. It is conveniently located close to the E-5 and TEM highways. Torun’s second point for a successful development is that "the project concept fits the circumstances of the day." The profile of the company figured in fourth place while sales conditions ranked fifth.
