New Mobil 1 products launched on eve of Turkish GP

ISTANBUL - With only days left for the Formula One Turkish Grand Prix, ExxonMobil, producer of a leading synthetic oil, launched a new range of Mobil 1 products - New Life, ESP Formula, Peak Life, Fuel Economy and Extended Life - at a press conference held at the Feriye Restaurant.
Introducing the range, Tamer Baykara, Marketing Manager of Mobil Oil Turk A.S., said, "Throughout the course of its 35-year history, Mobil 1 has been at the forefront of automotive lubrication innovation. Consistently developed to exceed industry standards, Mobil 1 is a world-leading synthetic motor oil. This strong heritage means that the new range encompasses the latest in available technology, for drivers of all kinds to benefit from."
At the press conference, Mobil 1 Motorsport Technology Manager Dr. Bruce W. Crawley explained how Mobil 1 offers exceptional protection for every type of vehicle and all types of driving conditions.
He also said drivers around the world continue to turn to Mobil 1 to help maximize the performance of their vehicles.
Kovalainen stars
Heikki Kovalainen, driver for the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes Formula One Team, which is sponsored by Mobil 1, was the guest of honor for the evening. He underlined the important role Mobil 1 played in his team’s performance. "Mobil 1 is an unsung hero in Formula 1 racing. It’s the oil's job to help reduce friction in the engine, thus increasing performance without compromising on durability." He ended his speech by adding, "Mobil 1 gives us a great deal of help in delivering maximum power output from the engine."
Twelve competition winners - determined by a prize draw from participants who correctly answered questions on driving and vehicle safety - were given the opportunity to meet Heikki Kovalainen. Participants entered the competition by visiting a Mobil 1 truck that toured the country during April and May.
Another contestant won an invitation for two to Sunday’s Turkish Grand Prix at the Istanbul Park, plus accommodation at the Istanbul Hilton Hotel during the weekend of the race.
