Turkey's nationalist opposition leader slammed Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan, saying he is completely out of control and his acts are not in line with either political or ethical measures.
"Politics has never been this dirty. Turkey has never been ruled by such a sordid government which sees corruption and illegality as a right and privilege for itself," Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) leader Devlet Bahceli said in statement posted on the party's website.
He said Erdogan is involved in corruption to rescue his crumbling dynasty.
The extension of recent claims of unlawfulness in a charity organization in Germany to the Turkish prime minister is a serious situation, he said.
Erdogan has reached boiling point recently after a string of recent scandals involving him and other members of the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP), and launched a campaign against Turkey's largest media group, Dogan Group, because of its publications on the fraud scandals.
