ISTANBUL - U.S. artist Henry Kupjack’s exhibition "Miniature Rooms Beyond the Imagination," which opened in December last year and displays 21 miniature rooms reflecting significant periods in world history, has been extended to Sept. 13 because of high interest.

Kupjack’s work was brought to Istanbul with the support of Turkish Airlines and Zen Diamond. The exhibition displays "Alexander’s Siege Tent at Halicarnassos" (333 B.C.), "American Diner in Red" (1942), "Bedchamber in the Palace of Ptolomies" (200 B.C.), "Dauphine Dining Room in the Raleigh Tavern" (1770), "French Provincial Bedroom" (1850), "Japanese Farm Kitchen" (1700), "17th Century Pirate Captain’s Cabin" (1680), "Blackwell Parlor" (1760), "Montmorenci Stair Hall" (1830), "New Orleans Parlor" (1850), "1950’s Artist Studio, New York City" (1954), "San Francisco Saloon and Dance Hall" (1885), "Pullman Observation Car" (1893), "H.C. Kupjack Loft" (1995), "Beidermeier Library" (1815), "18th Century English Pub" (1795), "Louis XVI Dining Room" (1785), "Backstage at Winter Garden Theater" (1940), "Thomas Jefferson Study and Bedroom" (1770) and "Ulysses S. Grant Dining Room" (1879).

In addition, "18th Century Ottoman Coffeehouse," which Kupjack created upon the request of Rahmi Koç and presented to the museum, is also on display.

The exhibition’s works were previously displayed in the world’s leading museums and galleries, including Florida Naples Art Museum, Winterthur Museum, Chicago Art Institute, Boston Library and Illinois State Museum.
