FETHİYE - Ölüdeniz Municipality has organized courses in sewing, folk dance and Turkish for the foreigners in town, most of who are British. Carel Werd, a Brit residing in Ölüdeniz, told the Anatolia news agency that she attended the course to learn about sewing and patching. "I also hope to come together with my friends during these courses," she said.
Füsün Karabulut, who teaches practical Turkish, said the trainees were eager to learn. "They are very happy to learn words and sentences such as ’günaydın’ (good morning), ’komşu’ (neighbor), adınız ne (what is your name) and ’ekonomik kriz yok’ (there is no economic crisis)."
