ISTANBUL - The two-week "Bergman and Women" film series begins this weekend as part of the Suna and İnan Kıraç Foundation Pera Museum Film Events.
Featuring a selection of films by the late Swedish director Ingmar Bergman, the program is composed of eight films he directed from the 1950s to the 1970s. Various women fill the leading roles in these rich stories that double as character studies. In addition, the documentary "Bergman Island" featuring Bergman’s last days in 2007 will also be screened. Organized with the cooperation of Swedish Consulate General, all films are in original 35mm format.
