Kohl's new partner

Former German Prime Minister Hemlut Kohl has been dating German economist Dr. Maike Richter, Hürriyet and Bild can exclusively reveal. The news surfaced at a bash thrown for Mr Kohl's 75th birthday at the German History Museum, Berlin. Dr. Richter, 41, stood side by side with the former prime minister's sons Walter and Peter, amongst curious stares from the onlooking crowd.
Mr Kohl's new partner is no stranger to his close circle of friends. An insider told Bild: "Helmut Kohl is back to living again after he lost his wife four years ago. He is happier, much fitter and full of life again. These are two people very much in love."
Mr Kohl, who held the German presidency for 16 years, said, "I can confirm that I have a new partner in my life. This being a very private part of my life, I cannot talk about it in detail. I expect people to respect that."
Mr Kohl's son, Peter, is happily married to a Turkish woman, Elif Sözen.
