Khasfest’09 hosts Norwegian Madcon

ISTANBUL - Khasfest’09, organized by Istanbul’s Kadir Has University and the Uni Socia Club for today and Saturday, is hosting world famous music band Madcon and popular Turkish pop singer Kenan Doğulu.
A multi-platinum award winning Norwegian urban duo Madcon will be on stage for the first time in Turkey as part of the event’s Saturday offerings at Kadir Has University Selimpaşa Campus.The group has achieved international fame, due in large part to the international success of their song "Beggin," which samples a 1968 Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons track.
The song earned the group several No. 1 chart positions in Europe and an overall No. 2 position on the European Billboard Hot 100 chart. It also became one of the biggest hits of all time in the Norwegian charts. Just like the previous years, Kadir Has University’s Selimpaşa Campus, Turkey’s largest festival area, will be specially prepared for Khasfest’09.
A total of 10 performances will be staged during the festival from 1 p.m. to midnight. There will also be activities including go-karting, paintball, bumper cars, rodeo, karaoke, Play Station tournaments and more. Tickets for Khasfest’09 are available through Biletix.
