ISTANBUL - In the modern football, players are supposed to do everything, from defense to attack. But Altay players added some depth to the definition of "everything."
During their Bank Asya League One game against Güngören Municipality on Sunday, Altay players had to push the ambulance after the car’s engine stalled.
Entering the pitch to take goalkeeper Gökhan Değirmenci to hospital, the ambulance become stuck in the rain-softened mud. The remaining Altay players had to push the ambulance out of the mire. The 20-year-old goalkeeper received five stitches before being declared fit.
