KADEK, which was established on April 4, 2002 replacing PKK, abrogated itself in Its Second Extraordinary Congress, which took place in Northern Iraq on October 26. Following the termination of KADEK, a new organization called Democratic Liberation Party (Partiya Rizgariya Demokratik-PRD) was established so as to operate in Turkey. MHA news agency based in Germany reported that the Kurdistan Freedom and Democracy Congress (KADEK), which replaced PKK, terminated itself in its second extraordinary congress, in which a motion on “organizational restructuring that will coincide with democratic system” was unilaterally adopted. The decision based the termination of KADEK on the following reasons:-To pave the way for an organizational restructuring that will coincide with democratic ecologic system;-To pave the way for a new structure that is inclusive, democratic, and participatory and that bears the marks of Leninism;-On this basis, to give way to the formation of an organization, which will be able to represent the Kurdish public, meet international criteria, and make legal, democratic, and legitimate politics;-To ensure peaceful and democratic solution of the Kurd issue together with sovereign nation-states.
