MARMARİS - A yacht used in the 2006 James Bond movie "Casino Royale" will be made available for "blue voyage" tour rentals in Marmaris.
The yacht, named "Spirit 54," has been brought from Ireland to Netsel Marina. It belongs to Irish businessman Noel Harrison, and will be maintained and operated by Turkey Sailing.
"This is the first time the yacht has gone out of Ireland," said Stephanie Williams, general manager of Turkey Sailing. "When the owner of the yacht visited Turkey, he fell in love with the weather and the sea. That is why he wants the yacht to stay in Marmaris."
The 16.7-meter-long yacht was used in two scenes of the James Bond movie, which starring Daniel Craig as Agent 007. The scenes were shot in Nassau and Venice.
The yacht offers visitors two cabins, a kitchen, a plasma television and a state-of-the-art music system.
Williams said the cost of a two-week blue voyage, a short cruise along Turkey’s Mediterranean or Aegean coast, on the yacht is 8,800 euros, and that the next two weeks are already booked. "Movie fans, especially the fans of James Bond movies, are showing great interest in the yacht," she added.
