Interestingly enough, all these are located in the north of the city, except Beylikdüzü. Başakşehir, Esenyurt, Arnavutköy, Sultangazi on the European side; Sancaktepe, Çekmeköy and Ataşehir on the Asian side came to life after 2000 in the northern part of Istanbul.
TURYAP Executive Board member Başak Soner pointed out: "Housing in the north of the city has reached the Black Sea. In the coming years environs of the third Bosphorus bridge and highway grids will continue to be the place of the most valuable investments."
Transport routes in Kilyos and Riva will speed up the development, added Soner. "On the Asian side, Akfırat, Kurtköy, Samandra, Sarıgazi, Çekmeköy,Ümraniye, Kavacık, Beykoz,Şile, Ağva, Riva; and on the European side Çatalca, Bahçeşehir, Kemerburgaz, Göktürk, Zekeriyaköy, Demirciköy and Kilyos are seeing more valuable lots. I think this will continue."
People should think long-term investments in construction lots. According to Soner, making investments in lots requires information and experience, compared to investments in housing. "Investors should be far-sighted and able to see the future of the city and people. Roads, bridges, new projects, dams, lake basins, woods, green fields and settlement density are important criterias for making a choice," Soner said.
