Israeli PM confers with aides after Obama speech

JERUSALEM- Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu huddled with senior aides and ministers on Thursday to decide on a reaction to US President Barack Obama’s speech to the Muslim world, an official told AFP.

The prime minister's office was expected to release a statement with the official reaction to the speech around 1300 GMT, the official said on condition of anonymity.
Netanyahu directed ministers of his government not to react to the speech -- in which Obama called the Palestinian situation "intolerable" and reiterated his support for the creation of a Palestinian state -- until the official reaction is released, he said.
