In the Presidential elections yesterday in Palestine, the time of voting was postponed 2 hours because of people who were stuck to the Israel control points. The elections started yesterday morning at 07.00 within the Turkey time but after some voters were held in the Israel check points though they had voting documents, the closing time of the chests was prolonged to 21.00.El Fetih candidate Mahmoud Abbas whose support changed between 52% and 68% in polls voted in the headquarters of Yasser Arafat, Mukata. Mustafa Barguti, who had the highest votes after Mahmoud Abbas in the polls claimed that the ink against re-voting can be cleansed easily. In East Jerusalem, the Palestinians voted in 6 post offices as mails. But 500 people were hindered by the Israel post officials though they had voting documents. At this point U.S. former president Jimmy Carter entered the scene. Observer Carter wanted all the Palestinians having documents to vote. After a long period of persuasion, the Palestinians could use their votes after 15:00. Â
