International terminal to be opened in October

ISTANBUL – The new international flights terminal of Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport, or İSG, is set to open Oct. 29, said Gökhan Buğday, the CEO of İSG.

Buğday said they provided 336 million euros credit for the project. The new international lines terminal will increase the annual passenger capacity of the airport to 25 million.
The construction project, which was planned to last 30 months, was reduced to 18 months, as they will build the terminal using steel rather than concrete, Buğday said.
