Join 20,000 at Water Forum
Istanbul will host the 5th World Water Forum March 16-22. It is the world’s largest water-related event, organized every three years by the World Water Council in cooperation with the host country. There will be regular ferry boat services to provide access to the two venues from the city centre, and from either side of the Golden Horn. A passenger bridge will allow visitors to cross from Sütlüce to Feshane, the sights of both venues. www.worldwaterforum5.org/

Hosted by the Istanbul International Community School, foreign and Turkish parents and educators are invited to attend this free discussion and cocktail with American brain research and curriculum development expert Dr. Donna Walker Tileston at Cırağan Palace on March 25. She will talk about how children learn in the age of technology. Author of the best selling series "What Every Teacher Should Know", her research has been converted into Master’s level education courses. KorIst has announced that it is looking for singers for the spring/summer season 2009. The piece to be prepared for auditions is Locus Iste by Bruckner. The music and midis etc. are available through the group. Rehearsals on Wednesdays. A recording of audition music and details about the next audition are on the Web site. www.korist.org
