MUMBAI - India's industrial production fell an unexpected 2.3 percent in March, the largest drop in at least 16 years, the government said yesterday.
The fall comes after a revised 0.7 percent drop in February and a 0.4 percent uptick in January. India has fared far better than some of its more-export dependent neighbors, which have seen double-digit declines in industrial output.
