The IMF's representative office in Turkey will be closed in the case a new agreement is not signed with the Fund, following a scrutiny of Turkey's last two-stand by performances with the IMF by the IEO, the Anatolian Agency reported on Friday.Â

The IMF's $10 billion loan agreement with Turkey expired in May. There has not been a new agreement signed between Turkey and the IMF yet.

The  IEO's "watch after the program" report is not expected to be completed before July, 2008.    Â

The IEO was established in 2001 to conduct independent and objective evaluations of Fund policies and activities.
