--TURKISH PM SLAMAS MEDIA RATHER THAN PROBE FRAUD
Turkey's Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan made accusations against newspapers that published details of the ongoing Deniz Feneri corruption case being tried in Germany, instead of investigating the fraud allegations.
In the ongoing case, a German expert witness earlier said that some 7 million euros was transferred to the Deniz Feneri organization’s Turkey office, as well as 1.8 million euros to Beyaz Holding from the organizations subsidiary operating in Germany and there was no information regarding the remainder of the donated funds. Evidence also exists that the organizations executives were handed millions of euros in cash according to the expert witness report.
The Turkish premier slammed Dogan Group instead of responding to the claims made by German authorities and said, "My name is being involved in the things related with Deniz Feneri. Was there any money delivered to me as Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan? How dare you associate our name?"
--ARMENIAN PRESIDENT THANKS GUL
Armenian President Serzh Sargsian thanked Turkish President Abdullah Gul for accepting his invitation to Yerevan to watch a World Cup qualifying match between the national soccer teams of Turkey and Armenia. Sargsian said "you have accepted our invitation. You have not left our hand empty. You have made us happy. I thank you on behalf of the Armenian people."

The Capital Magazine conducted a research on Turkish companies doing business overseas. According to the magazine, Turkish companies have investments worth of five billion USD in 90 countries worldwide.

--PM ERDOGAN'S INTIMIDATION, AYDIN DOGAN'S RESPONSE
Aydin Dogan, chairman of the Dogan Group, who the PM threatened, said that blackmail is does not befit prime ministers. "It is the German authorities who revealed the details of the case, and the German judiciary who will hand down judgment. Our newspapers simply reported this. Is it possible to explain this character assassination being carried out on me with any logic and morality?" Dogan said.
"The PM is placing pressure on us. I guess they are trying to silence us with this action. They are in control of the state now. They can do their worst against us. They are doing their worst and they will continue."

Relations, which have been disconnected between Turkey and Armenia, have entered to a new period after Turkish President Abdullah Gul's sincere visit to Yerevan for the soccer match between national teams of the two country. Armenian President Serzh Sargsian said that they would not leave the problems to the next generations. Meeting with Sargsian, Gul expressed pleasure over being in Yerevan. Gul said, "we have evaluated the match opportunity in a good way. I hope my visit will be a beginning in solution of our problems." Gul also invited Sargsian to the match which will take place in Istanbul.
--TWO SOLDIERS KILLED IN HAKKARI AND SIIRT
One soldier was killed in the clash which erupted between security forces and PKK terrorist in Baykan town of the southeastern province of Siirt. Also another soldier was killed when a land mine planted by terrorists exploded in Yuksekova town of the southeastern province of Hakkari. Three soldiers were wounded in the clash in Siirt.

Turkey won in the field and friendship won in the complimentary gallery in Yerevan. Two goals and Turkish President Abdullah Gul marked the historical match. National soccer team of Turkey defeated Armenian team 2-0 at group five in 2010 World Cup qualifying match. There was no tension in the match of Turkey and Armenia which played for the first time against each other in history. Gul, who became the first Turkish president to visit Yerevan, came to stadium together with Armenian President Serzh Sargsian.

Turkish national soccer team defeated the Armenian team, 2-0, in a World Cup qualifying match in Yerevan on Satuday. Thus, the Turkish team began qualification matches with three points. Turkish President Abdullah Gul watched last night's game with his Armenian counterpart. Gul invited Armenian President Serzh Sargsian to watch the Turkey-Armenia national soccer match on October 14 in Turkey.

Turkish Ziraat Bank's new branch in Baghdad has ammunition more than computers. The bank has 37 employees, including Turks, Kurds and Arabs. 25 of the employees are security officers. There are Kalashnikov rifles, hand grenades and other ammunition being kept at the branch for security reasons.

A clash erupted between security forces and PKK terrorists in Baykan town of the southeastern province of Siirt two days ago at night. Sergeant Suat Yalcin was killed and two other soldiers were wounded in the clash.

National soccer team of Turkey which played against Armenian team in a 2010 World Cup Qualifying match in Yerevan defeated its rival 2-0. Tuncay and Semih were the scorers of the game. During the game, a group of Armenians opened banners about allegations regarding 1915 incidents.

Turkish President Abdullah Gul became the first Turkish president ever to visit Armenia by coming to Yerevan on Saturday to watch a World Cup qualifying match between the national soccer teams of Turkey and Armenia. "I will exchange viewpoints with the Armenian President on the 'Caucasus Stability and Cooperation Platform' while in Yerevan," Gul said. "My goal is to help begin a climate of peace and stability. We can break the walls and establish a path for peace and stability," Gul stressed.

Turkish State Minister Kursad Tuzmen met with representatives of TBEA, a Chinese company ranked as the world's second biggest energy company, and discussed energy projects in Turkey. TBEA would like to cooperate with Turkey in solar energy projects as well as other investments in Turkey's energy sector.
