-- SPEACIAL CRISIS ADJUSTMENT TO RENTS
The Parliament's Justice Commission will discuss provisions of the draft Turkish code of obligations --that would put tenant's in a hard situation --  in the new year. According to the draft, landlords will be able to ask tenants to evacuate their property when they demand that not only their children or spouse will live in the house, but also their parents, grandparents and grandchildren. Rental contacts would also be able to be renewed due to changing economic circumstances as a result of the economic crisis. The draft would also enable landlords to file eviction lawsuits not only in the case where tenants fail to pay their rents on time, but also when the tenants fail to pay their utility bills.

Teachers' Day will be celebrated throughout Turkey today. However, teachers in Turkey cannot afford to celebrate. SABAH
-- LOOSING ONE SHOULD LEAVE
Turkey's Premier Tayyip Erdogan, who is on an official trip to India, made challenging remarks. Erdogan staked his career saying, "I'm not doing things with an ambition for power. Let me put it clearly, if my party emerges as the second party from the elections, I will give up the chairmanship of this party." All eyes turned to Republican People's Party chairman Deniz Baykal, but he made no comment in response. CHP's controller Mustafa Ozyurek said, "Mr. Premier is making a show, just like late Mr. Ozal had. But Ozal's party became the third party."
       Â
-- MY GRANDFATHER WILL LIVE HERE, EVACUATE THE HOUSE
It appears the draft code of obligations before parliament will bring arrangements favoring landlords. If the draft code is enacted, landlords will be able to file lawsuits to cancel rental contracts saying their grandparents, grandchildren or even their adopted children are going to live in the property.
