-- CHIEF OF GENERAL STAFF ASKS PROSECUTORS TO FIND WHO PREPARED "PIECE OF PAPER"
After the decision of the military prosecutor's office on an alleged anti-government plot document, Gen. Ilker Basbug, chief of the Turkish General Staff, said, "we believe that this piece of paper has been forged by certain circles to wear out and besmirch the Turkish Armed Forces." Gen. Basbug said, "as the commander of the armed forces, I am telling you very clearly: Take your hands off the armed forces and stop defining your political position over the armed forces. Stop carrying out an asymmetrical psychological campaign against the armed forces over the news media." "We will express our uneasiness on the matter in the meeting of National Security Council which will take place on June 30," he said.

-- ERDOGAN: "WHEN WE REACH ORIGINAL OF DOCUMENT, WE WILL BRING IT TO COURT
Turkish Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan said that when they reached the original of an anti-government document, they would bring this issue to the court. In response to a question on General Basbug's remarks of Friday, Erdogan said that the military prosecutor may have approached the document issue differently. "The process from now on belongs to the civilian prosecutor. The military judiciary decided that the document is not related with the military. The civilian judiciary will continue to investigate the matter," Erdogan said.

-- ORGANIZED ASYMETRICAL OPERATION
Chief of Turkish General Staff Gen. Ilker Basbug who held a press conference in Ankara said the "Action Plan for Fight with Reactionary Movements" was jurally just a piece of paper, and asked the Chief Public Prosecutor's office to find those who prepared the document, given that the document was not authentic. Gen. Basbug said given the current situation in the investigation they did not ask the investigation to concentrate on whether the document was authentic or not. He said should new evidence, information or indicators come to light the investigation could be relaunched but pointed out that as long as the scope of allegations do not change the Military Prosecutors would carry out the investigation. Gen. Basbug said they did not find it appropriate to discuss these issues in front of the public adding that they would bring these issues before the National Security Council meeting next week. Basbug said an asymmetrical operation against the Turkish Armed Forces was carried out over the media.

-- ARRANGEMENT FROM AKP THAT WOULD ALLOW TRIAL OF SOLDIERS IN CIVILIAN COURTS
In the last day of the legislative year, a critical amendment was made in the Code of Criminal Procedure (CMK) . A single word amendment in the Article 250 of the CMK opened the way for trials for crimes against the "constitutional court", "national defense" and "state secrets" --which fall in the area of responsibility of the high criminal courts with special authority-- to be carried out by these courts. The amendment also opened the way for Col. Dursun Cicek, whose name was involved in allegations regarding the controversial "Action Plan for Fight with Reactionary Movement", to be tried under operation Ergenekon.      Â

-- CONSPIRACY TO BE BROUGHT UP IN MGK MEETING
Chief of General Staff Gen. Ilker Basbug who held a press conference with force commanders said regarding the conspiracy document that they would bring up the matter in the meeting of National Security Council (MGK). Gen. Basbug said this piece of paper was forged in an attempt to smear the Turkish Armed Forces.

-- ERDOGAN: "CIVILIAN JUDICIARY WILL CARRY OUT FOLLOWING PROCESS"
Premier Tayyip Erdogan assessed the remarks made by Chief of General Staff Gen. Ilker Basbug during his visit to Belgium. Erdogan said that they launched an investigation into an anti-government document even if it was a photocopy. "When we reach the original of it, we will bring the matter to the court," he said. Civilian judiciary would carry out the following process, he said.

-- "I FACE A CONSPIRACY"
Lieut. Col. Mustafa Donmez appeared in the military court regarding ammunition unearthed in the Zir Valley in capital Ankara. Donmez, who is facing with 12 years of imprisonment, said that there was a conspiracy against him. "The sketch does not belong to me. Ammunition does not belong to me, either," Donmez said. Donmez was arrested under the Ergenekon probe. Police impounded the sketch at Donmez's house showing the whereabouts of some buried hand grenades.

-- 9 MILITARY OFFICERS TO BEAR TESTIMONY
Ergenekon Prosecutor Zekeriya Oz, summoned Col. Cicek Dursun whose autograph is allegedly on the "plan to eradicate AKP and Gulen congregation" to bear testimony. Cicek is expected to give testimony on Monday or Tuesday. Eight other officers were also summoned to the court as suspects.

-- AMMUNITION CASE, LIU. COLONEL DONMEZ. SAYS THE POLICE BURIED EXPLOSIVES
The trial of Lieutenant Col. Mustafa Donmez (regarding the explosives recovered from underground during the excavation in the Zir Valley, Ankara) began. Donmez said that he was clearly face to face with a "police plot" and claimed that the ammunition was buried a few days before he was arrested.

-- BASBUG CALLS IT "JUST A PIECE OF PAPER" WHILE PROSECUTOR SUMMONS COLONEL FOR TESTIMONY
Chief of Turkish General Staff Gen Basbug said "eradicating AKP" document was aimed at wearing down the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) while only a few hours later the Ergenekon prosecutors summoned the Colonel who is said to have signed the document to bear testimony. Gen. Ilker Basbug said the "plan to eradicate AKP and Gulen congregation" was not a document but a mere piece of paper. He said certain organized conspiracies turned into a defamation campaign against TSK and regarded this campaign as an "asymmetric phycological war". Basbug pointed out that a document which was seized in June 4th was serviced to a daily newspaper, adding that reports of the police and Gendarmerie leaked out. "I wonder if there is intention behind this?" asked Basbug. A few hours after Basbug's statement, Col. Cicek Dursun whose signature is on the said document, was summoned by the Ergenekon prosecutors to bear testimony.

Premier Tayyip Erdogan commented on Gen. Basbug's remarks in Brussels and said, "I have to respect all remarks. However we had already carried the issue to court and an investigation was launched. The military courts may have approached the issue rather differently, however the proceedings will continue at civilian courts after now."

Oktay Ozdemir, chairman of executive board of MOL Shops, said "a Turkish company won a tender for manufacturing outfit of Libyan soldiers for the first time. MOL Shops won this tender."
