-- 255 MILLION EURO LOAN FROM WORLD BANK

The World Bank has approved a credit of 255.4 million euro to strengthen public management, public services, social security and health insurance in Turkey. The newly approved credit will also be utilized for the judicial public sector in Turkey. Turkey will re-pay the credit in 22.5 years. There will not be any payments made for the credit in the first 12.5 years.

Now our next opponent are Germans. Turkey and Croatia drew 0-0 in 90 minutes of the breathtaking game and Croatia scored a shocking goal in the 119th minute of the extra time. Semih Senturk took the stage at the very last minute and scored a goal that excited Turks. Croats failed in the penalty shootout and Turkish national football team qualified to semi-final.

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan was very excited during the game. Erdogan exulted over Turkey's goal that drove the game to penalties and at the end of the penalty shootout he went to the locker room before players to meet them at the door. Erdogan congratulated them one by one. President Gul also congratulated Turkish players.

Turkish national football team put its sign under a new success story in world football history. Turkey defeated their opponents in the group after coming from behind in two matches and qualified to quarter-final. Turkish team finally achieved another miraculous comeback in the quarter-final match against Croatia. Following the 0-0 draw in 90 minutes, Turkey conceded a goal in the 118th minute of extra time but Semih Senturk scored a perfect goal in the 120th minute driving the game into penalty shootout. Turks beat Croats when Rustu saved the last kick to win the penalty shootout 3-1 and qualify to semi-final. Turks in Turkey and in the world celebrated the victory until the morning.

Turkey coach Fatih Terim spoke highly of his team after the match and commented on semi-final match against Germany. "We will fight until the end," Terim said. "I have full confidence in my team. I congratulate these men. They learned not to give up anyway. This is a yield of works and efforts over the past two years," he said.

Turkish national football team played their best football against Croatia in Euro 2008. Normal time of the quarter-final match ended 0-0. Turkey conceded a goal one minute before the end of the extra time. Semih Senturk scored a goal in the very last second to drive the game to penalty shootout while everyone was just saying "everything is over." But a light shone in the dark night when Croats, who collapsed after Turkey's goal, missed three penalty kicks. Now the next opponents are German team in semi-final to be played on Wednesday. Arda, Tuncay and Emre Asik are suspended, while Emre Belozoglu and Servet were injured.   Â

-- TARAF PUBLISHES A STAFF DOCUMENT AGAIN

Daily Taraf wrote that Turkish General Staff launched a plan to make sure that presidents of high level judiciary organs and the media act in line with Turkish Armed Forces. Turkish General Staff on Friday denied the report on the "information support plan", and said "there is no such plan or official document in General Staff's records approved by top commanders."
