Azerbaijani Ambassador to Turkey Zakir Hashimov said, "We have full confidence in statements made by Turkish President Abdullah Gul and Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan. However, peoples of both sides are worried."

"Border can not be opened until Armenia withdraws from Karabakh and gives up territorial demand from Turkey and allegations about the incidents of 1915. Of course talks should be held. Mr. Ilham Aliyev holds talks too," he said.

 

-- MALKOVICH TO SHOOT MOVIE ABOUT CYPRUS PEACE OPERATION

Filmmaker John Malkovich, who came to Turkey to get an honorary award at

the Istanbul Film Festival, spoke to Hurriyet. Malkovich said his latest project was "Cease Fire", a production that tells the story of what happened in Cyprus in 1974 from the eyes of a negotiator.
