Gönül meets Omani counterpart

ANKARA - Defense Minister Vecdi Gönül yesterday met Sayyid Badr bin Saud bin Harib al-Busaidi, his counterpart from Oman, in Ankara.
"Oman, which is the most peaceful country in the Arab peninsula, has made valuable contributions to efforts to ensure peace and stability in the Middle East. Turkey and Oman have great relations," Gönül said at the joint press conference after the meeting.
