GL Events eyes Turkish event sector

ISTANBUL - Upcoming international conferences scheduled to be held in Istanbul have caught the attention of French GL Events, the only full service event industry provider offering a global service in events and associated industries.
The recent and rapid growth in Turkey as a venue for international conferences has not escaped the big players like GL Events. The firm first took upon itself the management of a 300-people-salon located inside Sabancı University's Sakıp Sabancı Museum located in Istanbul’s Emirgan district.
Within the framework of its subsidiary Spaciotempo’s partnership with Pergel İnşaat, a Turkish construction company, GL Events is planning to establish a 4,000-square-meter production facility in the northwestern city of Kocaeli’s Gebze district, with an investment of $10 billion. Here, the company will manufacture aluminum framed temporary buildings and spare parts to be utilized in the industry.
"We are also in talks with local administration to take over the managements of Lütfi Kırdar Congress Valley and Sütlüce Congress and Culture Center," said GL Events International Projects Manager Olivier Moyse.
