European watchdog rejects Ocalan was poisoned

The Council of Europe's anti-torture body rejected on Thursday suggestions by PKK leader Abdullah Ocalan's relatives that he had been poisoned, after visiting him on the Turkish prison-island of Imrali.

Observers from the pan-European rights watchdog also urged Turkey to end the solitary confinement of jailed Ocalan highlighting the threat to his mental health.Â
