PRAGUE - The European Union Troika and Turkey meeting began in the Czech capital of Prague on Tuesday.
Foreign Minister Ali Babacan and State Minister and chief negotiator for EU talks Egemen Bagis are representing Turkey in the meeting.
Foreign Minister Karel Schwarzenberg of the Czech Republic, holding the rotating presidency of the Union, is chairing the meeting.
Also, Foreign Minister Carl Bildt of Sweden, the next EU president, and Olli Rehn, the European Commissioner for Enlargement, are participating in the meeting.
Participants are expected to discuss Turkey's EU negotiation process, Turkey's reforms, the Middle East peace process, recent developments in the South Caucasus, Pakistan and India.
The EU and Turkish executives will hold a joint press conference after the meeting ends on Tuesday afternoon.
Babacan is expected to return to Turkey after the press conference, while Egemen Bagis will proceed to the French capital of Paris to hold official talks.
