ETA vows to keep fighting on anniversary

MADRID - The armed Basque separatist group ETA vowed Friday to keep fighting as it marked the 50th anniversary of its struggle to carve an independent state straddling northern Spain and southwestern France.
In a statement sent to pro-independence newspaper Gara, the group also urged Basques to "join forces" to "take the road to independence by peaceful and democratic means".
