Erdogan: We must stand united

Speaking at a seminar for Independent Industrialists' and Businessmen's Association (MUSIAD) in Istanbul, Saturday, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that although there had been pressures from certain groups within the EU to create a division in Turkish society the country must stand united."We are finding attempts to destroy our unity. Nevertheless we must stand united and not fall. No one should try to take advantage of the stability in Turkey. As long as we live shoulder to shoulder, we can overcome all obstacles. We do not live to survive, but rather to be successful in the EU." The prime minister also said that whenever there are big changes in Turkey, it is usual to see a show of disrespect for the Turkish flag and called for Turks to act sensitively and logical against provocation.Â
