Erdogan heading to US in late September

Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan will be heading to the US for an official visit at the end of September. According to an official statement from the Ankara Prime Ministerial offices, Erdogan will meet with US President George W. Bush on October 2.
Topics of the discussion between the two leaders are expected to include the widening of strategic relations between Turkey and the US, as well as cooperation against terror and regional developments. Erdogan's trip will also include a stopover in New York, where he is expected to have meetings with a number of concerns, including representatives from local Turkish organizations.
