EMIN COLASAN: Back Yard

“Necmettin Hodja (Erbakan) was describing IHLs as “Our back yard.” Justice and Development Party which is composed of the students of National View (Launched by Erbakan as an Islamist movement) , rejected Erbakan Hodja on some issues but keeps on running in the same track.“Imagine IHLs opening in all corners of Turkey, with turbaned girls and boys are admitted from separate doors, sit at separate sections in class and who do not like singing the National Anthen. These schools train conscious enemies of the Republic. Their teachers are selected with care. Teachers with different views can not survive at these schools...“Preachers’ Schools do not produce preachers. The objective of all their students is to receive education on Law, Political Science, and International Affairs. Then, what is the sense of keeping these schools? Why are not these children sent to regular high schools?“Because, religious sects and seikhs provide scholarships to these children, as well as hostels, food, dresses and money to their families.  The majority of these students are poor. The children of the ruling power which exploits these till the end, receive training in private colleges and in universities abroad. “Their intention is to exploit religion and hunt for further votes. On the top of all these, they plan to seize the whole state. To implement its plan, AKP will dissolve the Higher Education Board and appoint its men to this board... Let the society and opposition continue their sleep! They are already attaining their goal. Wake up!”�
