KUŞADASI - Only 10 minutes from Kuşadası, yet a visit to Kirazlı Village is a step back in time. Maintaining the traditions of yesteryear, this village is one of the few that has held on to much of its past.
Now the village is looking to promote their productive methods of organic agriculture that are in harmony with the surrounding ecology. Last October, a series of projects were organized in the village and neighboring Kuşadası by the Ecosystem Protection and Nature Lovers Foundation, or EKODOSD, in collaboration with the Social Development Project, or SGP, under the title of: "the 7th SGP Projects Meeting."
As part of the project, billboards advertised the meetings in and around the village and the events were signposted at the Kuşadası-Kirazlı junction. Brochures and CDs were handed out by Hüseyin Fırat, the village headman.
