DSP rally against Erdogan's presidency takes place in Ankara; 40 thousand attend

A protest meeting of an estimated 40 thousand supporters of the opposition DSP and other parties took place yesterday in Ankara's Sihhiye Square.
DSP leader Zeki Sezer, wearing a black beret reminiscent of former DSP leader Bulent Ecevit, addressed crowds warning about the implications of current Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan's ascent to the presidency. Comparing PM Erdogan's success to that of a balloon, Sezer said "You were a balloon, Prime Minister. And the balloon will soon pop, as you will too. Your passion to reach Cankaya will lead to your explosion."
