Justice Minister Cemil Cicek has expressed frusteration with the official Danish stance towards the presence of PKK-linked Roj TV in Denmark. Speaking about the recent incident in Denmark which resulted in Prime Minister Erdogan abandoning a joint press conference with Danish Prime Minister Rasmussen, Cicek noted that it was unacceptable for Denmark to simultaneously accept the PKK as a terrorist organization, but not make any moves to shut down Roj TV, which openly supports the PKK.

Said Cicek, "If Denmark does nothing to shut down Roj TV, what difference does it make whether they recognize or don't recognize the PKK as a terrorist group? What we say to them is 'don't send us sympathy messages when there are terror incidents here, join us instead in a cooperative effort against them.' In four years, we have beeen unable to arrange the extradition of two terrorists to Turkey. What kind of a struggle against terror is this?"

FM Gul: Erdogan was right in his reaction

Meanwhile, Foreign Minister Abdullah Gul praised PM Erdogan's sharp reaction to the presence of Roj TV reporters in a Danish press conference, saying "His response was right. The PKK is on the Danish terror list. Someone has got to block their voice from being heard."
