’Cool’ comes to Istanbul

ISTANBUL - The Istanbul Museum of Modern Art will run a cinema program titled "Robert Mitchum and the Birth of Cool" from Jan. 8 to 31. The screenings will be free for museum visitors.
Describing the elusive concept of cool, the curators of the program said, "Cool is not just about style, but a style of life. It is about having seen it all, but not caring about it."
The program features "Ë bout de souffle" (Breathless) (1960), "Performance" (1970), "The Night of the Hunter" (1955), "Dishonored" (1931), "Out of the Past" (1947), "Permanent Vacation" (1980) and "Dead Man" (1995).
