Charles and Camilla finally tie the knot

After thirty years, Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles finally announced to the world that they had tied the knot with a ceremony at St. George's Chapel in Windsor held to bless the Church of England wedding that had taken place just hours earlier in a nearby quiet civil service.   Around 750 guests were at the wedding blessing that was given by the Archbishop of Canterbury Rowan Williams. The Archbishop talked about love and faithfulness which was in contrast with the pair, who had both divorced in their fifties and both been partial to acts of adultery. The couple recited a line of repentance from the book of common prayer which seemed to address their wrong doings: " We acknowledge and bewell our manifold sins and wickedness, which we, from time to time, most grievously have committed, by thought, word and deed, against thy Divine Majesty, provoking most justly thy wrath and indignation against us." There was no public show of affection at the ceremony. Camilla will now bear the title "her Royal Highness, the Duchess of Cornwall". A two-hour reception was given by the Queen, then the couple were whisked off to Scotland for a honeymoon at Balmoral.Â
