ANKARA - Turkey’s cement sector is living its golden age despite the crisis, according to data from the Turkish Cement Manufacturers’ Association, or TÇMB. Last year, cement production totaled 51.4 million tons, of which 10.58 million tons were exported.

The figure represents the highest production in a decade. In 2007, cement production totaled 69.25 million tons, of which 6.6 million tons were exported.
