Car catches on fire in İzmir, cause unknown

The car that caught fire belonged to 29-year-old Orhan Gür, who parked the car in front of his house after he came home from work. The car caught on fire for no apparent reason later in the night. Residents who noticed that the car was on fire called the police and fire department. While the fire fighting efforts continued, neighbors informed the owner of the car. "After work I came home and parked my car. I only realized my car was burning when my neighbors told me about it," Gür said.

Officials have not commented on how the car caught on fire. When asked if this could be a personal attack, Gür said he was not involved with people who would do this and said did not have any enemies. Police are continuing their investigation.
