Birthday in Bursa for Barnel

BURSA - Mexican actor Gael Garcia Bernal celebrated his 30th birthday at the opening ceremony of the third International Silk Road Film Festival in Bursa. Bernal, voted the eighth best looking man in the world in a recent poll in England, spoke at a press conference in Bursa.
After introducing himself and saying what an honor it was to be part of the Silk Road Film Festival, Bernal said, "I watch the films of Nuri Bilge Ceylan and Fatih Akin and I believe that in recent years Turkish films have caught the attention of many people worldwide. I hope to learn more about Turkish films by being here. I know Turkish films are valued and popular in Mexico. Next time I will hopefully have more knowledge."
Bernal commented on the extent to which the Turkish film industryhas developed and grown to international acclaim. When asked if he puts Hollywood at the forefront of his work plans, Bernal said individual projects were important to him.
"Until now, I have mainly performed in Mexican, Argentinean and Spanish films." At the end of the press conference, the 30-year-old actor shared his birthday cake and had his photo taken with other famous filmmakers and actors.
