Bayram treat: Istanbul buses free, metro super-cheap

Istanbul residents will be able to ride the IETT buses for free during the upcoming Bayram, as well as hop on the Tunel and Istiklal Caddesi tramvays for no money.
The metro too will be half-price, down to 50 kurus from its normal price of 1,100 YTL. The metro lines affected by this decision are the Taksim-Levent line, the Aksaray-Airport Light Metro, the Sirkeci-Zeytinburnu Street Tram, and the Air Gondolas over Macka and Eyup. The free and reduced fare status of Istanbul mass transit will remain in place through Saturday.
