Bank donates cash for trees

KOCAELİ - İşbank has decided to transfer its budget for promotional New Year gifts to a civil society initiative that seeks to create new forest areas in every province of Turkey. The project, called "81 forests for 81 provinces," will be funded from the budget İşbank allocates annually for New Year gifts to its customers, business partners, depositors and employees.
The first step of the project has been taken in the Gebze region. Ersin Özince, İşbank’s general manager in Gebze, planted the first saplings of the project at a ceremony alongside volunteers and Hayrettin Karaca, the honorary president of the Turkish Foundation for Reforestation, Protection of Natural Habitats and Combating of Soil Erosion, or TEMA.
